In it’s February 2023 issue, What’s Up Magazine presented it’s 1st Annual Home Excellence Awards. Mueller Homes was recognized as the award winning waterfront custom home builder in the Waterfront & Critical Area Construction category for their project in Queenstown, MD. The program was designed to honor elite home builders, architects, designers, and professionals serving the Chesapeake Bay region.
The teardown and rebuild project, located on the Wye River, required collaboration with Purple Cherry Architects and was also featured in the What’s Up Annapolis November 2022 issue. Every consideration was made to meet critical area requirements for homes on the Chesapeake Bay. This whole house renovation began with a 1986 rancher that had to be demolished and deconstructed with many of it’s parts salvaged and donated to reclamation agencies.
“Building or renovating a custom home on the Chesapeake Bay requires insight and knowledge to meet critical area guidelines. Locating the perfect waterfront property is just the beginning, but through collaboration, we were able to provide the homeowner exactly what they dreamed of,” notes Paul Mueller, Jr., President of Mueller Homes.
