About Us
Mueller Homes approach to the construction process begins with assembling the team of individuals and companies that can best serve your needs. A typical team is comprised of a project supervisors, a client concierge, and master carpenters with an average tenure of 15+ years with our firm and decades of experience in the home building industry. In collaboration with other design professionals and tradespeople, we can bring your vision to life in a methodical, proven, effective way.
In addition, we have long-term relationships (many for over 20+ years) with many of our suppliers, contractors, and tradesmen. As we enter our second generation of a family-owned business, we now also work with the second generation of many of our business partners and contractors. It is these relationships that allow us to provide reliable execution time after time. It is also a key differentiator to providing a truly unique experience for our clients, even in challenging times.
We assemble an internal and external team for complete transparency and collaboration. This team typically includes:
Assembling the team early in your design process ensures that your budget and your vision are aligned from the start. This also provides opportunities for value engineering, clear communication, and realistic expectations as the project progresses. Meet the members of our team below.
For most of his life, Paul Mueller, Jr. (PJ) has been involved in the home building and construction industry. He literally grew up in the family business, and was mentored by his father, Paul Mueller, Sr. This mentorship provided him many important lessons that his father’s 40 years of experience offered including a strong set of core values, hard work ethic, and the intricate details required to handcraft a luxury custom home. Among these lessons, PJ learned the paramount importance of developing a strong relationship with clients and serving as their trusted guide and resource, throughout the entire construction experience.
After attending college at the Penn State’s Pennsylvania College of Technology, and obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management, PJ explored a career opportunity with a large construction and paving company. After 7 years and numerous promotions, he decided to rejoin the family business holding virtually every position in the field from digging foundations to pouring concrete, placing drain tile, framing, cabinetry, punch-out, and more. In recent years, PJ has been more involved with the daily operations of the business and served as the primary point of contact for client engagement and construction development.
When asked what he enjoys most about the family business, PJ commented, “I love handing over the keys! Our homes are an extension of our client’s lifestyles and there is a tremendous amount of thought and emotions that go into every decision. That creates an opportunity to provide our clients with a very personalized experience and we take that responsibility seriously. It’s so rewarding to be able to share that experience and know that we’ve provided them something they will enjoy for years to come!”
In 2017, Mueller Homes celebrated it’s 25th anniversary. As President of Mueller Homes, Paul Mueller, Jr. plans to carry on the family tradition for many years to come.
Paul Mueller has artfully combined over 40 years of construction expertise with a solid foundation of core values to create luxury custom home building experiences that are memorable and rewarding.
For Paul, the concept of building things goes way back. In high school, he attended a vocational school where he learned fundamental construction trade skills. He began his career as a carpenter, project superintendent, and eventually served as the VP of Construction for a regional production builder. Along the way, he developed his own systems and processes and eventually set out on his own in 1992 to launch Mueller Homes.
“The building industry has seen many ups and downs over the last 40 years. I believe that navigating through economic cycles, while maintaining quality and integrity, are key components for long-term viability and reputation. Our attention to the build side of our business and doing the right thing at all times is what truly sets us apart. Our clients trust in us and our abilities, and in turn, the overall building experience is enhanced.” Paul comments.
Paul has created a legacy and reputation that is now being effectively carried on by his son, Paul Mueller, Jr. who serves as President of Mueller Homes. Paul continues to serve Mueller Homes overseeing long-term strategy and business operations.
