In it’s November/December 2023 issue, Annapolis Home Magazine featured this recent Severna Park luxury custom home built by Mueller Homes on a tributary of the Magothy River. The story “At Home on Cattail Creek” describes the scope of the project and the story of the 21st century family, who sought to create a homestead that had a rich family legacy and stunning waterfront views. The original home was completely torn down and rebuilt, while reimagining the setting to enhance their desired lifestyle.
Working collaboratively with architect Stephanie Cook at Speight Studio Architects, Mueller Homes was able to meet all of the client’s goals encompassing comfortability, waterfront views, and a cottage lifestyle. The ability to balance form and function was due, in large part, to Mueller’s artisanal woodworking capabilities through their sister company, Charles Henry Woodworking. Their craftsmen were able to give the home character without being overpowering. Every room of the home features handcrafted shiplap, millwork, and wainscoting that flow seamlessly into the cottage charm. To create fully immersive client experience, Mueller’s in-house client concierge provided assistance with interior design and selections.
