It’s another example of how we bring together our client’s vision to meet their lifestyle. Cohesive Interior Design
In the Houzz feature article, Hannah Wunder, Principal Designer at Ella Lee Interiors provides unique insight into how the client’s lifestyle played into the overall design of the kitchen and it’s cohesion with the rest of the home. Hannah notes, “The homeowners wanted a scullery, or back kitchen, to hold additional prep space, the fridge, a second sink and dishwasher for hiding pots and pans when entertaining, small appliances, a second oven and storage for pantry items, wine, glassware, serving pieces and more. “The main kitchen laid out really nicely because we knew how much the back kitchen would be supporting it,” Wunder says. “It allowed the kitchen to become more of an entertaining kitchen.” This project also shows the tremendous value of having an interior designer who is holistically integrated with the entire building process, creating efficiencies and improving communication throughout the project.
Custom Cabinetry
If the kitchen was to serve as the heart of the home and truly capture the client’s vision, then the cabinets would need to be uniquely designed, to meet the chef’s specific requirements. Who better to help than the artisans at Charles Henry Fine Woodworking, another Mueller Homes company?
Hannah created all the cabinet drawings and seamlessly worked with the team at Charles Henry to bring those designs to life. There is a thoughtful purpose behind every shelf, display cabinet, and even door pulls. Paint selections for the cabinetry were considered, even as other areas of the home were designed. Seamless collaboration, between all three companies, provided an exceptional client experience. The client’s noted, “Many of our friends, with very nice homes, comment on the craftsmanship,” Whitney says. “The trim and cabinetry are the most commented-on elements. They’re classy, intentional, and not overdone.”
