Mueller Featured on Cover of American Farmhouse Style Magazine

American Farmhouse Style MagazineIf you love the modern farmhouse, you will probably fall in love with American Farmhouse Style Magazine’s latest edition.  In it’s February 2024 issue, the national publication, produced by Engaged Lifestyle chose one of Mueller Home’s recent client projects as their cover story for their special interest issue “Upgrade Your Farmhouse”.  The article entitled Reimagining Home tells the story of how “A beloved Maryland waterfront family property experiences a coastal cottage farmhouse transformation.”  The 14 page feature article showcases the care and thought that went into creating this truly bespoke coastal farmhouse, with the artful collaboration of Mueller Homes and Speight Architecture.

This issue is currently available on newsstands or can be purchased online.  The photography, for this feature, was elegantly captured by Peak Visuals with excerpts and captions from the article featured below.

Mueller Homes is always grateful to have our work featured in magazines and to be recognized as a leader in the custom home builder industry, here in Maryland.

The siding on the exterior of the home, which is by James Hardie, has texture lending to any coastal cottage or farmhouse design.  A brick foundation and accent walls were also added to ‘age’ the home and give the impression that the foundational elements are not new construction.

The main family room is part of the open space that flows effortlessly into the dining and kitchen areas and has expansive views of the outdoors.  “Katie desired a true coastal farmhouse design, so the incorporation of oak floors, reclaimed fireplace wood mantle, and oak only made sense,” Paul says.  The coffered ceiling and built-in bookcase are finished with clapboard to integrate the coastal cottage farmhouse design.
